Privacy Policy

Pour ("we," "our," or "the app") is a mixology companion for iOS. We take your privacy seriously. This policy describes what data Pour collects, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and is never transmitted to any server:

• Bar inventory (bottles you add)
• Shopping lists
• Taste profile and quiz responses
• Favorite recipes and pairing ratings
• Pairing swipe history
• App preferences (dark mode, unit settings)

This data exists only on your device. We do not have access to it, and it is not backed up to any server controlled by us.

2. Pour IQ (AI Chat)

When you use Pour IQ, your chat messages and a summary of your bar inventory are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. This data is:

• Transmitted securely via HTTPS
• Not stored by Pour after the chat session ends
• Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy

Pour IQ has a daily message limit. No chat history is persisted between app sessions.

3. Pour Vision (Bottle Scanner)

Pour Vision uses your device camera and Apple's Vision framework to read text on bottle labels. All image processing happens entirely on your device. No photos or camera data are uploaded to any server.

4. Liquor Store Finder

The Liquor Store Finder uses your device's location (with your permission) to find nearby stores via Apple MapKit. Your location data is:

• Processed on-device
• Sent only to Apple's MapKit services to perform the search
• Never transmitted to our servers

5. No Accounts, No Tracking

Pour does not require an account to use. We do not collect:

• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Analytics or usage metrics
• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Browsing or search history

6. Age Verification

Pour requires users to confirm they are 21 years of age or older. The app does not store your date of birth. The age confirmation is stored as a simple true/false flag on your device.

7. Third-Party Services

Pour integrates with the following third-party services:

• Anthropic Claude API — Powers Pour IQ chat. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Apple MapKit — Powers the Liquor Store Finder. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

8. Data Deletion

You can delete any individual data at any time within the app (remove bottles, clear favorites, reset taste profile, etc.). To delete all data, you can use the "Reset All Data" option in Settings, or simply uninstall the app. Since all data is stored locally, uninstalling the app permanently removes everything.

9. Children's Privacy

Pour is intended for users who are 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has accessed the app, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
